About Gwaldam-Bandhan Garhi Temple Trek

The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali also known as Dakshin Kali and Lord Shiva and was erected during the Katyuri dynasty that ruled the region from 8th to 12th century. From the vantage of the temple, one can also get a panoramic view of some of the prominent peaks in Uttarakhand such as Nanda Devi, Trishul, Panchachuli to name a few.

Badhangarhi temple is located 8 kms from Gwaldam. Devotees and visitors can cover the first 4 kms on road upto a place known as Taal while the rest 4 kms trek. From Taal one treks uphill to Binatoli. The Badhangarhi temple along with temples of Goddess Bhagwati and Dakshin Kali are located just few meters ahead of Binatoli.

Arrive at GMVN Gwaldam Explore the beauty of the local surroundings and village
Dinner (Veg) and Rest -

Day 2

Trek to Bandhan Garhi Temple with a guide Packed lunch (Veg)
Return to the rest house for dinner (veg) Enjoy the rest of the evening with a crackling bonfire

Breakfast (Veg) and check-out -

Trek to Base Camp, taking plenty of time to acclimatize and to visit the Sherpa families and support facilities that will become increasingly important during our expedition. We will spend several days in Namche ahead of most trekkers, and will visit the monasteries in Tengboche and Pangboche.
