About Chirbatiya Trek

Chirbatiya is a range of hills north of Rudraprayag. 'Chir' refers to pines, and 'batiya' means a path. Literally translated, it means a path through the pine trees. And sure enough, you walk through some of the loveliest forest trails on this trek. There's not only pine but a good mix of oak and rhododendrons too. Hundreds of birds and the scent of the woods hang in the air. You will come across as many birds as you would on any week-long Himalayan trek, if not less. This is what makes Chirbatiya special among all the weekend treks.

This short trek but very spectacular, it starts from Bugyal Auli and is spread over about 5 kms. In this trek, small lakes and beautiful forests spread all around, where the mind enjoys a lot.

Gorson Bugyal trek comes to Chamoli district and its altitude is 3050 m. but from 2018 camping can’t be done here, You can go here only for trek.

About Bandhan Garhi Temple Trek

The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali also known as Dakshin Kali and Lord Shiva and was erected during the Katyuri dynasty that ruled the region from 8th to 12th century. From the vantage of the temple, one can also get a panoramic view of some of the prominent peaks in Uttarakhand such as Nanda Devi, Trishul, Panchachuli to name a few.

Badhangarhi temple is located 8 kms from Gwaldam. Devotees and visitors can cover the first 4 kms on road upto a place known as Taal while the rest 4 kms trek. From Taal one treks uphill to Binatoli. The Badhangarhi temple along with temples of Goddess Bhagwati and Dakshin Kali are located just few meters ahead of Binatoli.

About Anusuiya devi/Atri Muni Ashram Trek

One of the most famous pilgrim places in Chamoli is the Anusuya Devi Temple, dedicated to goddess Sati. She was the wife of Atri Muni, a great sage and one of the Sapta Rishis (Sapta means seven and rishis mean sages in Sanskrit). It is said that Devi Anusuya fully dedicated to her husband. It is located 30 kms away from Chopta. It is located in the lap of Himalayas which attracts the pilgrims.

Anusuya Devi Temple & Atri Muni Ashram is located in In Gopeshwar (Set amidst thick forest, Anusuya devi temple is situated 12km far from Gopewshwar town (5km trek from Mandal village). A massive waterfall enroute Atrimuni Ashram trek is a sight to behold).

About Mahasu Devta Excursion Package (3D/2N)

According to Hindu mythology, Mandarth a demon used to reside in this village who used to gobble one many every day. As the villagers were troubled, a devotee of Lord Shiva then asked for help and prayed to the lord for seeking help. Lord Shiva then asked Deolari Devi, a devotee of Lord Shiva and resident of the same village to send her all four sons to Mandrath.

Mahasu Devta or Lord Mahasu is regarded as God of Justice and his decision was believed to be acceptable by people and local rulers. Mahasu devta Temple was built in 9th century in Huna architectural style. Later on it got a mixed style of architecture. Now Archaeological Survey of India takes care of the temple.
