Overview

The best place to go skiing in India is Auli, a little yet idyllic hamlet. The skiing slopes at Auli, which were once built as a paramilitary outpost, are well-liked by both amateurs and professionals. Auli holds a number of wintertime snow adventure events. Additionally, skiing lessons are offered here.

Auli, which is located at a height of around 2,800 metres and is encircled by acres of oak and coniferous forests, provides sweeping views of some of the highest mountains in India, including Nanda Devi (7,816 metres), the second-highest peak in the nation.  The Hemkund Sahib gurdwara, the Nanda Devi and the Valley of Flowers National Parks, as well as well-known trekking locations like Gorson Bugyal, Pangerchulla Summit, and Tapovan can all be reached via Auli. In addition to Auli, Uttarakhand boasts a number of other ski resorts, including Dayara.
