Overview

Dhanaulti Hill station

At 2286 metres above sea level, Dhanaulti is a peaceful hill station that provides sweeping views of the majestic Himalayas. Located in the Garhwal Himalayan foothills, it is 60 kilometres from Mussoorie and 115 kilometres from the district capital of New Tehri. Dhanaulti is a tehsil in the Indian state of Uttarakhand's Tehri Garhwal district.
The popular tourist routes of Landour, Mussoorie, Kanatal, Chamba, and New Tehri pass through Dhanaulti. The town is completely surrounded by forests of lofty oaks, deodar, and velvety rhododendrons. Many tourists come here throughout the winter because of the heavy snowfall. Dhanaulti offers the privacy for vacations that many people want because it is still unaffected by the frantic summer rush to hill stations.
